Canon EOS 5D Mark III Digital SLR

Photo & Video

The 5D Mark III starts with a newly designed full-frame CMOS sensor and Canon DIGIC 5+ Image processor packing in 22.3 megapixels providing striking image quality along with increased low-light sensitivity ISO ranging from 100-25,600 (expandable to 50-102,400), sharp autofocus with 61-point AF points and still images can be shot up to 6 frames per second.

The 5D Mark II changed the game in terms of HD video, albeit unwittingly. This time around, Canon upgrades the 5D Mark III video options specifically with the professional video shooter in mind. Video features include: a dedicated video button, 1080p HD resolution at 30p, 24p, and 25p, manual adjustable exposure settings and audio controls, headphone jack for monitoring, and longer recording time up to 29 minutes and 59 seconds.

With its weather-resistant, magnesium-alloy body and improved specs, the Canon 5D Mark III is designed to capture stunningly beautiful images and cinematic films.

The Sony NEX-FS700 is a professional, modular camera with a 4K Super 35mm sensor that is a striking improvement over its predecessor the Sony NEX-FS100. This camera shoots 1080p HD video onto a 4K native sensor which means better control over depth of field, higher sensitivity in low light (with a dB range of 0-30 db), lower image noise, and an amazing dynamic range. However, the main attraction of this camera is the ability to capture 1080p at 240fps super-slow motion (8 second bursts) with reduced resolution at 480fps and 960fps.

The FS700 comes equipped with four built-in ND filters, 3G/HD-SDI output, 50/60 Hz control (for NTSC/PAL option). The camera incorporates many of the same stellar features as the FS100 including: gain controls, embedded timecode, expanded focus, peaking, histogram, shotgun mic and dual XLR inputs. Mount high-end cinema lenses on the FS700 with the use of optional adapters.

Canon XF 305 Professional Solid State Camcorder

Along with the XF300, the XF305 Professional Camcorder represents Canon's entry into professional solid state video acquisition. Following on the heels of its widely respected XH line of tape-based camcorders, the XF305 takes advantage of the latest HD technology--along with Canon's newly developed MPEG-2 4:2:2 codec--to record Full HD video to widely available Compact Flash cards.

Everything you could want in a handheld, professional camcorder is here in one sleek, affordable package: three 1920 x 1080 CMOS sensors, multiple bit rates (up to 50Mbps), variable resolution and frame rates, industry-standard MXF file wrappers, a newly developed L-Series 18x zoom lens, and full image customization.

In addition to the HDMI/Component/Composite outputs found on the XF300, the XF305 includes HD/SD-SDI output, genlock, and SMPTE time code terminals--widening its range of applications to live and multi-camera shooting. With such exceptional levels of image quality, ergonomics, and control, the XF305 is also the perfect camera for ENG, documentaries, independent features, and event videographers

Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM

Photo & Video

The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM zoom lens does what so many pros thought couldn't be done - replace the previous L-series 28-70 f/2.8 lens with something even better. Extended coverage to an ultra-wide 24mm makes it ideal for digital as well as film shooters, and the optics are even better than before with two aspherical elements and a redesigned UD (ultra-low dispersion) glass element. It's sealed and gasketed against dust and moisture, and a new processing unit makes the AF faster than ever.

Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM

Photo & Video

The Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens improves upon its predecessor, one of the most acclaimed lenses in the Canon EF line, with superior performance, increased speed and striking optical quality. This lens is constructed of 23 elements in 19 groups (including 1 Fluorite and 5 UD elements) which help deliver the sharpness and reduced aberration which professional photographers rely upon from Canon. The IS II Optical Image Stabilizer provides up to 4 stops of correction at all focal lengths.

Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM

Photo & Video

The Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM improves on its predecessor with more sharpness at the edges and corners which is most evident on a full-frame camera. This striking, ultra-wide zoom lens features three high-precision aspherical lens elements, and its improved AF algorithms help the lens to focus faster and quieter as well.

Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS Macro USM

Photo & Video

While Canon has long had a 100mm Macro lens in its lineup, the new EF 100mm f/2.8L IS Macro is significantly ahead of its predecessor in build quality, features and optics. The old non-L 100mm Macro is a striking lens in its own right, but the addition of a weather-sealed (with the appropriate camera body) construction, better optics, a 9-blade rounded iris for smooth, creamy, butter bokeh (background blur) and Canon’s new Hybrid IS make this lens one of the finest in its lineup. The Hybrid IS alone is an impressive addition; it adds up to 4 stops of image stabilization, producing acceptably sharp images at shutter speeds as low as 1/10 of a second. In addition, this is a true 1:1 macro lens, which means it can reproduce items at life-size magnification. The 100mm focal length also makes it an ideal portrait lens, something that the Image Stabilization goes a long way towards helping.

Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L USM

Photo & Video

This 35mm wide-angle lens features a maximum aperture of f/1.4, the largest in its class, along with the superior natural image quality of Canon L-series lenses. An advanced floating mechanism and a ground and polished aspherical lens element achieve extremely sharp, distortion free images from infinity to its closest shooting distance of 1'. With ring USM-powered rear focus, autofocus is stealthy and swift. A wide focusing ring provides comfortable manual focus, and the filter ring remains stationary for ease of use with polarizers and other special effects filters.
